Dro Kenji Unleashes His Visuals For “PUSH2START”

Dro Kenji has followed up the release of his latest album “WITH OR WITHOUT YOU” with visuals to the melodic and energized track “PUSH2START.”

The track serves as the introduction to his album which dropped vie MiraTouch/Internet Money Records/10k Projects. With the album pushing over 15 million streams and the track itself surpassing 1 million since its February release, Dro Kenjilooks to be on pace to surpass his most popular release “KILL CUPID.” Taking the time to push the album has given Dro Kenji an amazing opportunity to develop this amazing video which is available to watch on YouTube.

The 20-year-old rapper teamed up with Declan Kyle on his recent trip to New York to create a music video which finds Kenji fighting to keep painful memories at bay throughout the album. The Kaleidoscopic realm of his imagination is portrayed beautifully in the visuals and places the viewer in a trance of color and sound. We see Dro Kenji’s imagination become just as invasive as it creeps into the streets and rooftops of New York City. I absolutely loved the direction that Declan Kyle had with this video.

The selection of areas to film in and the way they blend with the proper cuts has me glued to the screen. Taking a what would be considered normal clips but expanding on them with shifting angles and the hallucinogenic purple hue, really gives these visuals an action movie atmosphere. It teeters on the line between simple and extravagant, leading into an overall enticing and engaging video.

With our prior coverage of WITH OR WITHOUT YOU it’s safe to say that Dro Kenji is on the rise. We touched on the overall of the project and these visuals really feed into it nicely. Kenji recently wrapped up his first SXSW where he touched down on the Rolling Loud x RapTV stage, bringing his brand of melodic rap to a packed-out crowd in Austin. With this young artist showing out on his performances, it’s a good bet to check out his “WITH OR WITHOUT YOU.” Visuals for another song on the project, “USED2KNOW,” also dropped last month, giving listeners even more content to consume.
